In a significant safety alert, The Coleman Company has recalled its Converta camping cots and suspension stretchers due to a risk of laceration and amputation. The recall affects about 228,760 units in the U.S. and 438 in Canada. The products’ backrest fold mechanism can pinch fingers, posing serious hazards.
The recalled items include Coleman Converta camping cots with model numbers 2000003077 and 2000020282, and Converta camping suspension stretchers with model number 2000020290. These models, featuring tan or white fabric and black steel frames, were sold from January 2011 through March 2025 at retailers like Walmart and online on Amazon.
