Scholarship recipient Jacob Powers of Culver’s of Chelsea has received a $10,000 scholarship through the Culver’s Foundation Scholarship
Program to pursue his educational goals.
“Jacob has been a Culver’s team member for two years,” said Gerry Olinik, owner of Culver’s of Chelsea. “We’re so proud that he is being recognized for his academic excellence, ambition, and dedication to continuing his education.”
“We are proud to support the education and development of our hardworking team members,” said Lea Culver, Executive Director of Culver’s Foundation and one of the business’s co-founders. “Whether they choose to stay with Culver’s or pursue new opportunities, Culver’s scholarship recipients are doing great things to better themselves and their communities.”

Through the Foundation Scholarship Program, more than $6 million has been awarded to over 4,000 team members. Jacob is joined by fellow team members Abigail Meloche, Kendra Smith, and Alex Venegas, who also received scholarships from Culver’s of Chelsea. Locally, Culver’s of Chelsea awards all graduating senior team members a scholarship of $250 for each year they have worked at the restaurant.

“We want to encourage all of our team members who choose to pursue higher education at any institution,” said Olinik.
