The Dexter cross country teams put together strong performances Saturday at the Father Gabriel Richard Invitational, with both the boys and girls’ squads finishing fourth overall in competitive fields at Hudson Mills Metropark.
The Dexter girls earned a team score of 96 points, paced by junior Kodie Snyder, who ran a swift 19:19.49 to take fifth place overall. Senior Amelia Cribbins followed close behind in sixth, clocking a personal-best 19:36.46.
Dexter’s depth proved critical, as five runners posted personal records. Claire Gibson (21:15.50), Molly Noesen-Bosscher (21:24.63), and Julianna Richards (21:36.48) all turned in career-best times to round out the team’s scoring five. Abigail Dobry (21:41.32), Mae Barbaro (21:49.00), and Jillian Lower (22:11.67) provided valuable support as the team’s displacers.
On the boys’ side, Dexter also finished fourth, tallying 153 points. Junior Coen Hill led the way with a personal record 15:34.10, good for sixth place overall. Nick Martens was next across the line in 16:23.47, followed by Hudson McCleskey (16:47.27 PR), Nicholas Hoffman (16:48.05), and Nicholas Reiser (17:16.66) completing the team’s scoring effort.
Senior Cole Doty (17:18.98) and junior Liam Smith (17:25.18 PR) also contributed strong runs, while Easton Howell (17:29.34 PR), Triston Thompson (17:46.79 PR), and Burke Smith (18:21.30) added depth to the Dexter lineup.
Both Dexter teams continue to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season, with several runners posting season-best and career-best marks at Hudson Mills.
The teams will compete in the SEC Red Finals at Hudson Mills Thursday.
