How to Play Lex Pun Five

Lex Pun Five is a daily word-guessing game where you have five attempts to guess a secret five-letter word. After each guess, the tiles will change color to show how close you are: green means the letter is correct and in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong spot, and gray means the letter isn’t in the word at all.

Tips for Beginners

Start with a word that uses common letters like E, A, R, S, and T. Pay close attention to yellow letters — they’re in the word, just not where you placed them. Avoid reusing gray letters in future guesses to maximize the information you gain from each attempt.
