Ralph L. Wurster of Chelsea, Michigan, age 93, died peacefully on January 5, 2024, at Legacy Assisted Living in Jackson. He was born March 10, 1930, in Manchester, MI, the son of Charles and Lydia (McClean) Wurster.
Ralph graduated from Manchester High School in 1948. He joined the Army after high school. On October 23, 1953, he married Phyllis P. Vogel. They were married for 66 years before her death in 2021. He worked at Ervin Industries in Adrian, MI for 40 years. He was a member of the Chelsea First Congregational Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl of Homer; five grandchildren, Jacob Wurster of Utah, Sarah Wurster of Arizona, Nicole Wurster of California, Jocelyn Wurster of California, and Patrick Campbell of Albion; 2 great-grandsons; and 4 great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Wurster; his son Todd Wurster, and also 12 brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Chelsea, Michigan on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Wallace Tatara officiating.
