Saline Tennis Takes Down Monroe

The Saline girls’ tennis team improved to 3-3 in the SEC Red with a 7-1 win over Monroe last week.

The Hornets won three of four singles matches on the day.

Kylei Warner won 6-3, 6-1 at two singles, Katheryn Feller dominated at three singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win, and Nastia Dubovy won 6-4, retired at four singles.

Isabella Apone and Brooke Van Dyke had the match of the day at two doubles, rallying for a 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 three set tiebreaker win.

Eva Cueto and Alice Jiang won 6-1, 6-0 at one doubles, Ellis Buchanan and Carmen Pagilinan 6-0, 6-0 at three doubles, and Fiona Loverich-Abby Bryan 6-0, 6-2 at four doubles.

The Hornets dropped a tough 5-3 decision to Ann Arbor Skyline.

Warner won the only singles match for Saline with a 7-5, 6-3 in at two singles.

Apone and Van Dyke won 6-2, 6-4 at two doubles and Buchanan-Pagilinan won 6-2, 6-2 at three doubles.
