With a time of 5:33:203, the crew beat out the competition, with second place coming in at 5:44:289 from Springside Chestnutt Hill, PA, and third place going to Western Albemarle, VA with a time of 5:48:697.
These four Skyline students qualified for the SRAA Nationals on May 12 by winning the Midwest Scholastic Championship at the Kathryn Bennett Race Course in Kensington Metropark, located in Milford Township, MI.
When asked about it all, Megan said, “The experience was amazing. I never thought I could get there. I would not have been able to have this experience without the push of my other teammates. Having that motivation makes the boat work very well together.”
Megan will be competing with the Washtenaw Rowing Center later this summer at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catherines, Ontario from July 28th-August 4th. This will be her second year in a row.
