Dexter Community Schools (DCS) have updated labor agreements with their administrators, support personnel, bus drivers and monitors.
The DCS Board of Education approved tentative agreements (TAs) at their June 22 meeting with the following employee groups:
DAA – Dexter Administrators’ Association
DESPA – Dexter Educational Support Personnel Association
WWBDAMA – Western Washtenaw Bus Drivers and Monitors Association

The agreement with the DAA was also ratified by the DAA membership. DAA employees will receive step increases along with a 1.5 percent on-schedule base salary increase.
The agreement with the DESPA was also ratified by its membership on June 22. These employees will receive step increases along with the following wage adjustments:
1 percent hourly wage increase for employees on Steps 6–9 in the following classifications:
Custodial/Grounds
Maintenance
Secretaries
Cooks/Cashiers
Kitchen Managers
Special Education Paraprofessionals
Technology
2 percent hourly wage increase for employees on Step 10 in the following classifications:
Custodial/Grounds
Maintenance
Secretaries
Cooks/Cashiers
Kitchen Managers
Special Education Paraprofessionals
Technology
Lunch Monitors
Courier
Transportation and Receiving
In addition, the General Education Para-educators will receive a wage increase to $16.75 per hour.
The agreement with the WWBDAMA was also ratified by its membership. These employees will receive step increases along with a 1.5% hourly wage increase at all steps.
All three agreements also include:
A financial reopener for the 2027–2028 school year and a 3 percent increase in the Board’s healthcare contribution.
