MEETING SYNOPSIS – April 15, 2025 Board Regular Meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.  All members present. The Board took action to: approve the meeting agenda; approve the minutes of the March 18, 2025 Special Board meetings; approve the Consent Agenda; adopt Resolution #25-09: A resolution to adopt the Future Land Use update to the Sylvan Township Master Plan; approve Checkered Lawn Care’s contract for grounds maintenance; approve Proposal #1 2025-2026 agreement with the Washtenaw County Road Commission in the amount of $153,708.00; accept and approve the Release of Claims Agreement from Colony Insurance Company for Claim 324451;  approve the bid submitted by Dexter Roof to replace the Township Hall roof with 24g standing seam metal for $91,602, and replace the gutters with seamless commercial 6” gutters for $4,634; correct the hourly rate of the Planning and Zoning Administrator’s zoning duties from $35.00/hour to $36.08/hour, effective April 1, 2025 for the 2025-26 fiscal year; authorize the DPW Interim Administrator to accept and sign the OHM March 21, 2025 proposal to develop a GIS mapping database for water system infrastructure in an amount not to exceed $8,000; accept the bid proposal of Lovell Contractors, Inc. to perform work as outlined in the Dangerous Architects bid package documents and addendums, for a base bid price of $26,274.30 and to also approve options #1 and #2 totaling $4,283, and to engage Scott McElrath of Dangerous Architects to provide construction administration of the renovation contract for a price not to exceed $1,250; and authorize the Supervisor and Office Manager to develop a job description and process to hire a new Township Assessor.  Meeting adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
