SYNOPIS Webster Township Board of Trustees Meeting – June 17, 2025 7:00 P.M.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor Mike DeAngelo on June 17, 2025, at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130. Members present: Supervisor Mike DeAngelo; Clerk Tonie Brovont; Treasurer John Scharf; Trustees Shelly Vrsek, Brant Savander, Jeff Harms, Dan Munzel; Assessor Bill Sinkule; Zoning Administrator Sri Komaragiri; Deputy Supervisor Rick Kleinschmidt; Office Assistant Alayna Calleja; and 15 citizens.

Motion to approve the minutes of the Webster Township Board of Trustees Regular Meeting held on June 17, 2025, as presented. Carried.

Motion to approve the agenda, as amended. Carried.

Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report and pay bills, as well as those anticipated bills received before our next meeting scheduled for July 15, 2025. Carried.

Motion to receive and file the Consent Agenda Reports as presented, pulling out Sheriff’s Report as a verbal report. Carried.

Motion to adopt Resolution 25-24 to support public outreach communication efforts of the Webster Township Historical Society; Resolution 25-25 to support public outreach communication efforts of the Dexter Senior Center; and Resolution 25-26 to support public outreach communication efforts of the Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express.  Carried.

Motion to adopt Resolution 25-21 to recognize the Dexter Senior Center as the Senior Center of Record and send the resolution to the County Board of Commissioners. Carried.

Motion to purchase proposed AV System with the touchscreen display for the amount of $17,974.25. Carried.

Discussion: Suspension of Private Road Ordinance.No action taken.

Motion to schedule consideration of the Velvet Ridge private road application at the next available Township Board meeting. Carried.

Motion to direct the Zoning Administrator to work with applicant at 7630 Fox Lane to obtain missing information and to bring the application forward for Township Board consideration at a future meeting, and to schedule a future public hearing for variances. Carried.

Motion to postpone 7523 Webster Church Road Building Permit Application and bring more information to a future meeting. Carried.

Motion to approve Resolution No. 25-22 to adopt the proposed amendments to Article 13, sections 13.120, 13.70 and 13.75 and to replace Article 14 of Webster Township Zoning Ordinance in its entirety based on the draft presented at tonight’s meeting. Carried.

Motion to approve Resolution No. 25-23 to adopt the proposed amendment to Sections 8.05 of Articles 8 and to replace in entirety sections 16.05, and 16.10 of Article 16 of the Webster Township Zoning Ordinance, based on the draft presented at tonight’s meeting. Carried.

Motion to approve updated floorplan and charges for Township Hall Rebuild. Carried.

Motion to utilize Katherine R. Hopkins, Esq. as a research attorney. Carried.

Discussion: Sirens. Will bring additional requested information to a future meeting.

Discussion: Discussion on meeting agenda deadlines.

Discussion: Discussion on Township Hall roof repairs.

Discussion: Discussion on attorney attendance at ZBA meetings.

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:40 p.m. Carried.
