DEXTER TOWNSHIP

PLANNING COMMISSION

PUBLIC HEARING

AGENDA

1) Public hearing to amend Section 17.03 to remove the maximum

density requirement for the keeping of animals on parcels with 10 or

more acres of land in Section 17.03 and update Table 17.1: Keeping

of Animals.

2) Public hearing to amend modify Section 24.03, item B to remove

provisions preventing the sale of property and to clarify when

contiguous lots are exempt from consideration as a single lot.

3) Action Items:

1. Zoning Ordinance amendment to amend Section

17.03 to remove the maximum density requirement for

the keeping of animals on parcels with 10 or more acres

of land in Section 17.03 and update Table 17.1:

Keeping of Animals.

2. Zoning Ordinance amendment to modify Section

24.03, item B to remove provisions preventing the sale

of property and to clarify when contiguous lots are

exempt from consideration as a single lot.

3. Changes to Planning Commission by-laws.

4) Discussion: None.

Draft zoning ordinance amendments may be viewed at the Dexter

Township Hall during business hours (8:30 am – 4:30 pm Mon.-Thurs.,

excluding holidays). Information will also be available on the Planning

Commission page of the Township’s website,

https://www.dextertownship.org/planning-commission/, seven to ten

days before the public hearing date. Members of the public are welcome

to attend the public hearings in person or by counsel to express views on

the petition. Written comments should be addressed to the Planning

Commission, 6880 Dexter-Pinckney, Dexter, MI 48130, or may be sent

by email to the Director of Planning and Zoning at

dpz@dextertownship.org. All correspondence must be received by

12:00 p.m. (noon) on the public hearing date.
