Lima Twp: Board Budget Public Hearing Synopsis 3/24/25

Meeting called to order at 4:00pm.  Members present: Supervisor Bill VanRiper, Treasurer Nanette Havens, Clerk Ann Kwaske, Trustee Dale Luick, Trustee Greg McKenzie. 

Motion to approve the agenda.  Motion passed 5-0.

The public hearing was opened at 4:04pm.  One resident asked if board members were getting raises.  The public hearing was closed at 4:05pm.

The board held a discussion on the proposed budget.  Three modifications were recommended by Trustee McKenzie.  

Motion to revise the proposed budget to adjust the Transfer In from $175,000 to $332,000, increase 101-261-880 Community Promotion from $8,000 to $15,000, and to modify 101-265-969.005 to include $150,000 to the Building Reserve Account.  Motion passed 5-0.

Resolution 2025-05 Salary of the Township Supervisor offered by McKenzie, supported by Kwaske.  Adopted unanimously on a roll call vote.

Resolution 2025-06 Salary of the Township Clerk offered by McKenzie, supported by VanRiper.  Adopted unanimously on a roll call vote.

Resolution 2025-07 Salary of the Township Treasurer offered by McKenzie, supported by Luick.  Adopted unanimously on a roll call vote.

Resolution 2025-08 Salary of the Township Trustees offered by Kwaske, supported by VanRiper.  Adopted unanimously on a roll call vote.

Resolution 2025-09 Pay for Hourly and Appointed Staff offered by McKenzie, supported by VanRiper.  Adopted unanimously on a roll call vote.

Resolution 2025-10 General Appropriations Act of Lima Township offered by McKenzie, supported by Luick.  Adopted unanimously on a roll call vote.
