REGULAR BOARD MEETING

FEBRUARY 25, 2025, 7:00 pm

Approved minutes of the February 11, 2025 Regular Meeting.

Approved the payment of the bills.

Approved submission of Federal Grant for reimbursement of Physical Security and Election Resiliency.

Approved invoices for Titan Mold Removal for mold remediation in three township hall bathrooms.

Appointed Jennifer Tankanow, Jeff Harsche, Gus Boutsikakis, Linda Smith, Jay Holland and Alex Thomas to the Downtown Development Authority.

Approved consulting services by Leading Edge Mentoring for Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, Office Coordinator and Human Resources Manager.

Approved proposed job description for the authorized position of Natural Areas Technician.

Public Hearing held on the adoption of the Scio Township FYE 2026 budget.

Called a Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees for the purpose of deliberating on the proposed FYE26 Budget for Monday, March 3, 2025 at 4:00pm.

Approved budget increase of $30,000 for value engineering to refine costs further, issue a letter of intent to contract with Boone & Darr for geothermal proposal presented, and to bring back a revised GMP and engineering design for final approval not later than the March 25, 2025 Board meeting.

Authorized Chief Houde, Alex Bade from OHM, and Treasurer Yaple to interview Architect and Construction Manager candidates and to make a hiring recommendation to the Township Board.

Approved cost of living increase of 3.1% to all eligible employees, once employees complete their 12-month employment period.

Postponed action on Many Hands Lifesharing Community Preliminary PUD to the March 11, 2025 Board meeting, to allow time for the Township Attorney and Planning team to prepare a model motion for approval with conditions.

Discussion of determination of salaries by the Compensation Commission for Township Trustees, Township Treasurer, Township Clerk and Township Supervisor.

Approved proposed amendments to the County Early Voting Agreement.
