A Full Splendor of Beauty at the Lavender Harvest Festival in Milan

A celebration of the beginning of the harvest season, the 7th Annual Lavender Harvest Festival is taking place Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14, and it is a wonderful opportunity to explore beautiful, blooming lavender fields in full splendor.

Joe Pusta, the owner/proprietor of Lavender Lane, a lavender farm in Milan, told the Sun Times News, “Our lavender harvest festival is a family friendly event celebrating the beginning of our lavender harvest season. The calming and therapeutic aroma of Lavender fills the farm as guests from all over the Midwest gather here to pick lavender, sip on lavender lemonade, take selfies on their cell phones in the fields, shop 100+ lavender products (found under our purple tents), shop 40+ artisans and food trucks, listen to live music from local musicians and more.”

The festival will have U-PICK Lavender, Lavender Lemonade, over 40 Artisans, Food Trucks, Live Music, Riding Ponies, Petting Farm, Face Painting, Fresh and Dried Lavender, and over 100 Lavender Products Made on the Farm, which will be under the purple tent canopies.

Pusta said “Our farm features 10,000 healthy and mature plants in purple and white. We also sell potted lavender plants, the same hardy varieties that grow so well in our fields.”

“Our event is known for having some of the largest and healthiest lavender plants in Michigan, along with a large and welcoming staff of family and friends,” he said. “Many guests immediately pick up on the strong family feel of this event and we really pride ourselves on that.”

The event is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 13 and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. It’s at Lavender Lane Farm, 12040 Plank Road in Milan.
