INFORMATION: While on routine patrol, an officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of Kim Lee Court for the report of a fraud complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant, who stated that they had recently discovered that they had fallen victim to fraud by trick. The complainant stated that the suspects had been in communication with them and had convinced them to send several new cell phones that had been purchased for the suspect(s), so that the phones could be activated. At the time of the report, no suspect information was available. The case was turned over to the investigator’s office for further investigation.

INFORMATION: While on routine patrol, officers responded to the 1600 block of S. Main Street for the report of an intoxicated subject who had reportedly been involved in an altercation. Officers made contact with the complainant, who stated that he and his girlfriend had been en route back from a party when a verbal altercation began. The complainant pulled over in a nearby parking lot, and that is when the complainant stated that the suspect, identified as a 26-year-old Chelsea woman, punched the complainant in the face and also reportedly bit the complainant in the shoulder area, according to the complainant. The complainant stated that the suspect had left the scene in their vehicle. Officers assisted the complainant with escorting him to the residence so that some property could be retrieved and he could remain separated from the suspect. Upon officers’ arrival, the suspect was located, and officers gathered some statements regarding the incident in question. The case remains open pending warrant submission and review by the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office to determine if charges would be authorized.
