Daniel F. Selby

Daniel F. Selby, cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away at the age of 83. He was the son of Verda and Thomas Selby.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Selby, and their children: Thomas (Diane) Selby with grandchildren, Craig (Ashley), Elizabeth, and Rebecca; Daniel (Lisa Conners) Selby; Carrie (Bernd) Jaberg; Will (Kyeong) Selby with granddaughter, Isis; and Kathryn (Joseph) Larmee with grandson, Winston. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Selby and grandson, Sven Jaberg.

Daniel was proud of his children and loved working alongside his family at their successful pizza restaurant, which he owned and operated for 53 years. He enjoyed traveling to Dutton, Ontario, and Mexico, and spending time outdoors on his tractor. Opinionated and quick with a joke, he brought joy and laughter to those around him.

Daniel spent his first half of his life in Dearborn, Michigan, and he spent the last 41 years in Dexter, building a life filled with love, and laughter.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Nie Family Funeral Home, 3767 W. Liberty Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48103.

Daniel’s warmth, humor, and love for his family will be forever cherished.
