GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF DEXTER TOWNSHIP:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a General Election will be held in Dexter Township on Tuesday November 5, 2024. The
polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:
Precinct 1 & 3 Township Hall, 6880 Dexter Pinckney Rd.
Precinct 2 Fire Sub Station, 12154 North Territorial
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the November 5, 2024 General Election will be to select your candidate choice(s)
from the Republican Party OR the Democratic Party for candidates seeking nomination to the office listed below.
Also listed below are 5 local proposals printed on the back side of your ballot; Washtenaw County Proposal 1,
Washtenaw County Proposal 2, Washtenaw County Proposal 3, Washtenaw County Proposal 4, and Washtenaw
County Proposal 5 – all ballot language can be accessed for reading on the Dexter Township Website
www.dextertownship.org – click on the Clerk and Elections link for all three ballot styles.
Visit our website at www.dextertownship.org and click on Clerk & Elections – there you can view sample ballots,
your precinct location, register to online vote and other important election information. Absentee ballots are
available for all elections; registered voters may contact the local clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter
ballot. The clerk will be in the office Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm. The required weekend before election
date open hours will be November 2, 2024 8:30am-4:30pm.
To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in
Braille. Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the
Township Clerk in advance of the election. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.
Proposal 2 gives voters the flexibility to cast their vote 9-days early in all elections and for additional days and hours
beyond what the constitution required. All Michigan voters now have the right to vote early in every statewide and
federal election. In those elections, early voting must be offered for at least nine consecutive days, beginning on the
second Saturday before the election and ending on the Sunday before the election, for at least eight hours a day.
The Dexter Township 9- Day Early Voting will be held at Sylvan Township. Please call the Dexter Township Clerks
office for directions or voting hours.
