Empowering Descent: Raising Funds, Building Community, Ending Poverty

combating poverty, Friends In Deed, Fundraiser

Community News

Friends in Deed are excited to announce their upcoming Over The Edge event on August 17. As they gear up for this fundraiser to combat poverty in Washtenaw County, they are in search of dedicated volunteers like you to help make this event a resounding success.

They have two vital support roles where your involvement can truly make a difference:

R.O.P.E.S. (Rappelling Operations Personnel and Safety): You would be needed both Friday and Saturday. This role is instrumental in ensuring the safety and seamless execution of the rappelling experience. You will receive training and even have the opportunity to rappel down Hill Tower on Friday. Your presence is the cornerstone of making this thrilling adventure secure for all participants. No prior experience needed.

General Volunteers: If you can commit for Saturday, we welcome your help with various event activities such as registration and guides. Your support will be invaluable in creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for participants and spectators.

Why Volunteer?

Impact: Your participation directly contributes to our mission of eliminating poverty in Washtenaw County.

Community: Join a remarkable group of individuals who are deeply committed to making a positive change in our community.

Unique Experience: Be part of an event that stands out from the rest, where adventure meets a noble cause.
