Saline: Notice of Sanitary Sewer Overflow

Per Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy guidelines this message is to provide notice of a Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) event south of 924 E. Michigan Ave. at a sewer manhole The event is estimated to have occurred between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM on January 9, 2025.  The overflow is a result of material restricting the sewer line.  An estimated 1,000 gallons of raw sewage flowed onto the street and to storm drains. The issue has since been resolved with the street and storm catch basins being cleaned.
