NOTICE OF ELECTION

August 4, 2026 Primary Election
7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
This August ballot includes Democratic or Republican candidate Primary selections for the State offices of: Governor, US Senator, Representative in congress 6th District, State Senator 14th District, Representative in State Legislature 46th, 47th, or 48th Districts, and Delegate to County Convention. This ballot also includes 3 Proposals: Chelsea School District Operating Millage Renewal Proposal that is asking for a renewal of 19.1437 mills for 6 years; The Chelsea School District Sinking Fund Millage Proposal asking for 0.8985 mills for 10 years; and The Washtenaw County Community College Operating Millage Renewal Proposal asking for a renewal of 0.85 mills for 10 years. Sample ballots can be obtained at the Sylvan Township Hall or by contacting the clerk’s office.
Registered voters in Sylvan Township who haven’t voted absentee may vote in-person at the Sylvan Township Hall. Early in-person voting will be available at the Sylvan Township Hall from 9am to 5pm beginning Saturday, July 25 through Sunday, August 2.
Persons with special needs as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act should contact the clerk’s office. To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the Township Clerk in advance of the election.
