The Webster Township Board approved its 2026 Local Roads Projects Agreement with the Board of Washtenaw County Road Commissioners (WCRC) at its April 21 meeting, putting in place a plan for some upcoming improvement projects.

The overall cost of the road work is estimated at $663,000 with Webster Township putting forth an estimated $511,951 with the WCRC Local Matching Funds at $151,049.

Here is the list of projects:

Chamberlin Road, Huron River Drive to North Territorial Road (1.53 Miles): Work to include drainage improvements, forestry, heavy brushing, shaping the existing surface, and the application of 6″ of 23A Limestone (C.I.P.) (approximately 4,500 tons) with associated dust control and project restoration. Estimated project cost: $157,000.

Zeeb Road, Merkel Road to North Territorial Road (1.04 Miles): Work to include drainage improvements, forestry, heavy brushing shaping the existing surface, and the application of 6″ of 23A Limestone (C.I.P.) (approximately 3,000 tons) with associated dust control and project restoration. Estimated project cost: $112,000.

South Hamburg Road, Barker Road to County Line (.51 Miles): Work to include drainage improvements, forestry, heavy brushing, shaping the existing surface, and the application of 6″ of 23A Limestone (C.I.P.) (approximately 1,700 tons) with associated dust control and project restoration. Estimated project cost: $58,000.

Yankee Lane, Danell Dr, Pine Tree Lane and Sunrise Dr. (0.48 Miles): Work to include drainage improvements, forestry, shaping the existing surface, and the application of 5″ of 22A Gravel (C.I.P.) (approximately 1,400 tons) with associated dust control and project restoration. Estimated project cost: $77,000.

Gregory Road, Huron River Drive to Cobble Lane and Cobble Lane (2.58 Miles): Work to include drainage improvements, forestry, heavy brushing shaping the existing surface, and the application of 6″ of 23A Limestone (C.1.P.) (Approximately 9,100 tons) with associated dust control and project restoration. Project work will begin at Huron River Drive and progress easterly toward Cobble Lane, or until available funds are exhausted. 2026 Township Local Road Program project savings will provide additional funding for this project. Amendments to this agreement will be made to capture residual funds. If necessary, future road improvement projects will complete the segment. Estimated project cost: $259,000.
