With a Dexter Connection, the University of Michigan Club Baseball Team Moves onto the World Series

A lineup including three players from Dexter, the University of Michigan Club Baseball Team won the Regionals this past the weekend and are headed to the World Series tournament.

The regional win have led the Michigan team to earn a three seed in the 2024 NCBA Division I World Series Bracket, which is set to take place May 24-30, at Lloyd Hopkins Field in Alton, Illinois. Michigan has a record of 18-3.

The Dexter connection includes a roster with Cole Arnedt, Braedon Fuson and Jacoby Haley, all former Dexter High School Dreadnaughts. Arnedt is an infielder at short stop/second base, Fuson is an outfielder and Haley is an outfielder and pitcher.

The University of Michigan Baseball Club offers students the opportunity to play competitive, collegiate level baseball. It’s part of the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) and competes in the Great Lakes North Conference. Conference opponents include Michigan State University, Notre Dame, Western Michigan University, Central Michigan University and Adrian College.

Michigan opens the World Series tournament against Penn State University on May 24. If U of M wins, they would move onto play the winner of Iowa State University and Grand Canyon.
