It was a special ribbon cutting as the Hampton Inn by Hilton in Saline made its official debut.

The new hotel has been open over the past couple of months, but the ribbon cutting on June 19 brought the hotel ownership and locals, including the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Brian Marl, together to mark the moment in bringing the hotel back to life. It’s located at 1250 E. Michigan Avenue.

The ownership team said this Hampton Inn by Hilton is “Where comfort meets elegance, and every stay promises warmth and hospitality.”

The ownership team is Superior Hospitality Group, LLC, which is affiliated with the Bacall Companies. The Bacall Group took over ownership of the location in August 2022. Prior to this, the half-built hotel sat vacant for at least two years after the previous ownership team halted work there. The building and property went through bankruptcy and was cocooned up until the new ownership came in the different challenges that came with this and re-made the hotel into a welcome addition to the Saline community.

The work needed to finish the hotel included things like interior construction, such as putting in flooring, lighting and fixtures, and getting it overall ready to go.
