The ABC Group Sales & Engineering Inc. location in Saline will be permanently closing this year, according to a letter sent to the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.
In a letter dated June 24 from Mark Decker, Chief Human Resources Officer for ABC Technologies, it began with:
“Please be advised that, on or around December 31, 2024, ABC Group Sales & Engineering Inc., (Company) will be permanently closing its Saline location at 1294 Beach Ct. Saline, Mi 48176. This notice is being provided accordance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification of 1988 (“WARN”).”
The ABC location in Saline is the Windsor Mold Group location. ABC Technologies, an auto supplier, acquired the Windsor Mold Group in 2022.
The Saline closure will impact the 166 employees, ranging from the 90 operators to the one general manager, at the plant.
Decker’s letter said, “All positions at this facility are being eliminated as a result of this closure. The last day of employment for the affected employees is anticipated to be on December 31, 2024.”
He said the “product line will be transferred to another ABC Technologies manufacturing facility located in Wyoming, Michigan and all employees will be offered an opportunity to transfer with the business.”
