The Washtenaw County Road Commission continues work on the Island Lake Road and Dexter Main Street corridor project in Webster and Scio townships.
Crews are preparing pavement sections, relocating water mains and installing stormwater structures at the Island Lake Road and Dexter-Pinckney Road intersection. The city of Dexter is also completing water main improvements at Island Lake Road and Dexter-Chelsea Road.
Upcoming work includes installing curb lines and adding turn lanes at the Island Lake Road and Dexter-Pinckney Road intersection.
Work has also begun on Island Lake Road between Dexter-Chelsea Road and Dexter-Pinckney Road, where underground stormwater structures are being installed and pavement is being removed.
Island Lake Road between Dexter-Pinckney Road and Dexter-Chelsea Road remains closed to vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians.
