To the qualified electors of Jackson County, State of Michigan, of Grass Lake Charter and Waterloo townships:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Township Clerk; office of the City Clerk; the office of the appropriate County Clerk; a Secretary of State Branch office, or other designated state agency. You can register to vote, obtain a registration form, and check your voter registration status at www.mi.gov/vote.
The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is Monday, July 20, 2026. After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL168.492) at the following office.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the following will appear on the ballot:
A Primary Election will be held for the purpose of nominating candidates for the following: Governor, United States Senator, United States Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Representative, Judge of Circuit Court, Judge of District Court, Judge of Probate Court, Jackson City Mayor, and township offices of Supervisor, Treasurer, Clerk, and Trustees; in addition to above offices, Precinct Delegates will also be elected.
The further purposes of the election:

FIRE PROTECTION MILLAGE RENEWAL
Shall the previous voted increase in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Grass Lake Charter Township, of 1.64 mills ($1.64 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to 1.6331 mills ($1.6331 per $1,000 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at and increased up to the original voted 1.64 mills ($1.64 per $1,000 of taxable value), taking effect for the 2026 tax year levy, and levied for six additional years, 2026 through 2031 inclusive, for maintaining and operating fire protection services, raising an estimated $642,143.35 in the first year the millage is levied?
