SALINE TOWNSHIP ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

Notice is hereby given that the Saline Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing to take comment on a variance request for the following property:
9685 W MICHIGAN AVE
R -18-10-300-006 & 005
The applicant is proposing to construct a 28,000 square foot clearspan salt storage structure on the property with a height of 62.7 feet (42 feet mean from eave to peak). The storage structure will be utilized as part of the landscaping snow removal operations currently conducted on the site. The property is zoned A-1, Agriculture Conservation. The maximum building height permitted in the A-1 District is 35 feet according to Section 3.101 of the Saline Township Zoning Ordinance. If granted, the proposed structure height may be permitted.
The Zoning Board of Appeals will hear any and all oral and written comments regarding the proposal at the above meeting. To submit written comments prior to the public hearing or to schedule an appointment to inspect a copy of the application, please contact the Saline Township Clerk, Kelly Marion, at 734-429-9968. Saline Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting/hearing upon ten (10) days notice to Saline Township.
