NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE
STATE PRIMARY ELECTION
TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY August 4, 2026
TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SHARON:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of Sharon Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Township Clerk; the office of the Washtenaw County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed or dropped off to the Township Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at mi.gov/vote.
The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is Monday, July 22, 2026. After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.497) at the Township Clerk’s office, located at 18010 Pleasant Lake Road, Manchester 48158 at the following times:
• Saturday: August 1, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Election Day, Tuesday August 4 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE This August ballot includes Democratic or Republican candidate Primary selections for the State offices of: Governor, US Senator, Representative in congress 6th District, State Senator 14th District, Representative in State Legislature 46th, 47th Districts, and Delegate to County Convention. This ballot also includes 3 Proposals: Chelsea School District Operating Millage Renewal Proposal that is asking for a renewal of 19.1437 mills for 6 years; The Chelsea School District Sinking Fund Millage Proposal asking for 0.8985 mills for 10 years; and The Washtenaw County Community College Operating Millage Renewal Proposal asking for a renewal of 0.85 mills for 10 years. Persons with special needs as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act should contact the clerk’s office. To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.
