NOTICE OF ELECTION
YORK TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN
AUGUST 4, 2026, PRIMARY ELECTION

To the qualified electors of York Township:

Notice is hereby given that a primary election will be held in York Township on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following locations (all accessible for voters with disabilities):
YORK TOWNSHIP:
Precinct 1 – York Baptist Church Activity Center, 11220 Stony Creek Rd., Milan, MI 48160
Precinct 2 – York Baptist Church Activity Center, 11220 Stony Creek Rd., Milan, MI 48160

For the purposes of nominating a candidate to the following offices:
Governor, U.S. Senator, Representative in Congress 6^th District, State Senator 15^th District, Representative in State Legislature 31^st or 33^rd District, York Township Supervisor (partial term), Delegates to County Conventions, Washtenaw Community College Operating Millage Renewal ($0.85 per $1,000 of taxable value), and  proposals for voters in these school districts: Saline Area Schools Sinking Fund Millage Renewal ($.03394 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation), Saline Area Schools Millage Renewal Proposal to Provide Funds to Operate a System of Public Recreation and Playgrounds ($.4850 per $1,000 of taxable valuation); Saline District Library Millage Renewal Proposal ($.33 per $1,000 of taxable valuation).

Sample ballots are available at the York Township Offices located at 11560 Stony Creek Rd., Milan, MI 48160. Sample ballots can also be found at www.mi.gov/vote or at https://www.washtenaw.org/304/Elections.

Absentee ballots are available for all elections; registered voters may contact the local clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot.

To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the township clerk in advance of the election. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.
