NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION EXTENDING MORATORIUM ON DATA

CENTERS

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that at a regular meeting held on July 21, 2026, the Dexter Township

Board adopted Resolution No. 26-711, entitled: “A Resolution to Extend the Moratorium on Data

Centers.”

The Resolution extends the moratorium originally established by Resolution NO. 26-705, which

temporarily prohibits the approval to construct and operate data centers in the Township. The

moratorium is extended for a period of 180 days. The purpose of the extension is to allow the

Township Board additional time to complete its review, consideration, and adoption of regulations

governing data centers in the interest of public health, safety, and welfare.

A copy of the Resolution is available for public inspection during regular business hours at the

Dexter Township Hall, 6880 Dexter-Pinckney Rd, Dexter, MI 48130. Copies may be obtained for a reasonable charge.
