NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the qualified electors of Lima Township, County of Washtenaw that the State Primary Election will be held in Lima Township on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following location:
Chelsea Church of the Nazarene, 12126 Jackson Road, Dexter, MI 48130
for the purpose of electing candidates for the following offices:
Nominees for the Democratic and Republican Parties for: Governor, U.S. Senator; Representative in Congress 6th District; Representative in State Legislature 47th District; Delegates to County Convention.
and to vote on the following proposal:
- WASHTENAW COMMUNITY COLLEGE OPERATING MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL, to authorize the College to continue to levy up to 0.85 mill that was previously approved by electors to fund operations for 10 years.
Electors that reside in the Chelsea School District will also vote on the following proposals:
- CHELSEA SCHOOL DISTRICT OPERATING MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL, to allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law.
- CHELSEA SCHOOL DISTRICT SINKING FUND MILLAGE PROPOSAL, to allow the school district to replace the building and site sinking fund millage previously approved by voters with a millage not to exceed 0.8985 mill for a period of 10 years, 2027 to 2036, inclusive.
