Bluegrass fans, families, musicians, and anyone looking for a relaxing summer afternoon are invited to the 4th annual Bluegrass Jamboree on Saturday, August 1, 2-7 pm at Historic Webster Village located at 583 Webster Church Rd, Dexter.

Hosted by the Webster Township Historical Society (WTHS), this popular community event celebrates America’s rich bluegrass tradition in the beautiful setting of Historic Webster Village. Throughout the day, visitors can attend performances by regional bluegrass bands on the Dieterle Corncrib Stage while musicians gather throughout the Village for informal jam circles.

The jamboree is designed to appeal to a broad spectrum of interests and tastes.

Event highlights include:

  • Live bluegrass performances throughout the day
  • Open jam circles where musicians are welcome to participate
  • Instrument “petting zoo” where visitors can see and try traditional bluegrass instruments
  • Historic buildings open for tours & demonstrations
  • Food truck vendors
  • General Store featuring locally made goods and gifts
  • Family-friendly atmosphere on the Village’s four-acre historic campus

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and spend the day enjoying music beneath the trees. Musicians are welcome to bring their instruments and join one of the many jam sessions held throughout the Village grounds.

“The Bluegrass Jamboree is more than a concert—it’s an opportunity for people to experience traditional American music in a welcoming, historic setting,” said organizers with the WTHS. “People often come planning to stay for an hour and end up spending the entire day.”

Admission supports WTHS’s mission of preserving and bringing to life the history of Webster Township through educational programs, historic preservation, and community events.
